Haute Couture in Deauville, France, in 1894
Maybe these French elegants are waiting for some dandy, in front of the Casino?
I am nearly sure the place is Deauville, Normandy.
If it is not Deauville, it is Trouville, the other place "à la mode" in France at the end of the Nineteenth century.
Both were famous for their Casinos.
At the time, many Parisian aristocrats, intellectuals and artists had a villa in Deauville or Trouville, to enjoy some rest near by the Ocean and play in the Casinos, in good company.
